For over 2 years (closer to 5, probably) I have been planning to update my board game group’s online forum and game session planner. But dealing with importing and transforming data from several years of game sessions, that were still being added to as I wrote the code, cause me some problems.

These are my normal blog posts.
This mask is now available on the NHS. If you use a CPAP and have problems with finding a comfortable mask, ask if you can try a Respironics Dream Wear. It is the most comfortable mask I know, no pressure spots, you can lie on your back or side without worrying, and you can even wear your glasses with it.
In 1994, I recorded an album. It was a home recording job, but wasn’t completely a solo effort. The vocals were all me, and – I think – all of the instrumentation, except what was sequenced. I also did a lot of the engineering, but it was recorded in the midst of a party weekend in Brighton & Home, with lots of friends helping with button-pushing, tweaks and advice.
I have a love-hate relationship with my local GP Practice. The people are all generally great, but the bureaucracy of medicine sometimes seems more important than actually treating people.
If you are using a free theme with your Wordpress blog, you may find yourself stuck with a colour scheme, formatting etc.
Here is how to break out of that in fairly easy way. I’m going to use Firefox, because that is the browser I know, but I expect other browsers have similar functionality.
My living room is kind of L-shaped a good-sized lounge area, and a dining area too narrow to really hold table and chairs and still be able to walk past it. Since it leads to the conservatory (that I added), it hasn’t been used for dining for years – the main table is now in the conservatory.
So it has become a walk-through, plus a place to keep my guitars and other stuff. It is really quite underused.
I have scrapped Social Logins, and have gone back to people just giving their name and email address before commenting. No registration required.
And so my websites have moved again, although it is five years since I last went through this.
I am amused by what I typed then…
This post marks the moving of my blog to a new server; in that when it appears on my blog, the DNS will have propogated, for me at least.
I’m about to move my domains to a new server, and I couldn’t help notice that 3 of them are shifting a large amount of data, which I couldn’t explain.
There is not a week go by that I don’t get email via my website from some charlatan wanting to boost my website’s listing on Google. Even with spammer detection in place, they still manage to get through.
It has now got to the point that I automatically delete anything that mentions SEO.
