One of the joyful things about sorting through various stuff was rediscovering my Yi 360 Camera. I’d bought this as an improvement over my original Ricoh Theta, but then didn’t do much with it last year, due to having to keep my leg elevated due to cellulitis. The camera wasn’t lost – I knew where it was, but it had turned into an anticlimax.

The one downside of the higher resolution camera was that it eats batteries.

In order of preference, my three tools are:

Integromat
Zapier
IFTTT

Everything is dependent on the integration tools having pathways to and from the things you are trying to integrate, and they are not all equal. So although I may prefer Integromat, I might find myself using Zapier or even IFTTT, because they can get at what I am trying to affect.

I am trying to get back in the habit of posting the interesting stuff I have to say (for some definition of “interesting”) to my own blogs, where I can control the layout, images and have a easily searchable “diary”. Which is essentially what it…

This time last year, I was suffering badly from cellulitis, which required me to keep my leg elevated. So I temporarily moved my office from upstairs to a bed-table pulled over my recliner chair, allowing me to work with the recliner stool in the up…

A day in which I managed to accidentally bug-bomb my living room. Throwing a duvet cover over an airer caught a couple of things on the table behind. This resulted in a violent hissing noise. Throwing the airer to one side, I could see that…

When Katie first arrived last year, I bought her a crate to sleep in. Being an ex-show dog, she was used to a crate, and I decided to keep up the practice. The crate I bought turned out to be a minor disaster. It is…

For over 2 years (closer to 5, probably) I have been planning to update my board game group’s online forum and game session planner. But dealing with importing and transforming data from several years of game sessions, that were still being added to as I wrote the code, cause me some problems.

This mask is now available on the NHS. If you use a CPAP and have problems with finding a comfortable mask, ask if you can try a Respironics Dream Wear. It is the most comfortable mask I know, no pressure spots, you can lie on your back or side without worrying, and you can even wear your glasses with it.

In 1994, I recorded an album. It was a home recording job, but wasn’t completely a solo effort. The vocals were all me, and – I think – all of the instrumentation, except what was sequenced. I also did a lot of the engineering, but it was recorded in the midst of a party weekend in Brighton & Home, with lots of friends helping with button-pushing, tweaks and advice.

If you are using a free theme with your WordPress blog, you may find yourself stuck with a colour scheme, formatting etc. Here is how to break out of that in fairly easy way. I’m going to use Firefox, because that is the browser I…

My living room is kind of L-shaped a good-sized lounge area, and a dining area too narrow to really hold table and chairs and still be able to walk past it. Since it leads to the conservatory (that I added), it hasn’t been used for dining for years – the main table is now in the conservatory.

So it has become a walk-through, plus a place to keep my guitars and other stuff. It is really quite underused.
