“You call that a BBQ? No, *that’s* a BBQ!”

Further to my comments in the previous post, I felt I just had to post some BBQ porn – this is a picture of the Weber Ranch Kettle that I mentioned.

Called a ranch BBQ because it can cook enough food for an entire ranch in one go.

“1104 square inches of grill cooking area”

Obviously for times when a mere 1100 square inches isn’t enough.

Pretty obviously a set-up for picture-taking purposes – I don’t think the greenery would survive if the grill was functioning in that picture 🙂

I’m not so sure. I found this image elsewhere, which looks like it might be a close up of the same set-up

      Ranch Kettle in Action

It looks like peppers and asparagus to me – both of which that I would add to a charcoal grill. You wouldn’t have them cooking for the same length of time as the chicken, of course – you would cook the chicken with the lid down, then when they are ready, baste them with a marinade, and add the veg while the chickens are finishing off.

So although I think the picture *is* a posed picture, I don’t think it is too far fetched.

Huh, looks like lettuce in the first picture 🙂

Definitely looks like a posed picture 🙂

Ah – you mean the greenery sticking out of the chicken itself? I think that is probably tarragon.

      Yummy!
