It looks like peppers and asparagus to me – both of which that I would add to a charcoal grill. You wouldn’t have them cooking for the same length of time as the chicken, of course – you would cook the chicken with the lid down, then when they are ready, baste them with a marinade, and add the veg while the chickens are finishing off.
So although I think the picture *is* a posed picture, I don’t think it is too far fetched.
Called a ranch BBQ because it can cook enough food for an entire ranch in one go.

Obviously for times when a mere 1100 square inches isn’t enough.
Pretty obviously a set-up for picture-taking purposes – I don’t think the greenery would survive if the grill was functioning in that picture 🙂

Ah – you mean the greenery sticking out of the chicken itself? I think that is probably tarragon.
