This was more difficult than I expected. It is one thing to know how to do something, it is quite another to explain it.
As a result of my recent experiments with San Francisco sourdough, I have written a page about maintaining and using a sourdough starter.
This page doesn’t cover how to make a sourdough starter from scratch, only how to maintain and use an existing starter. I will follow up with a “how to make a…” page at sometime. However, if anyone would like some of my starter, let me know – of course, we will need to work out how to get it to you!
